2000 - 2003 Technical Director for Oracle Racing, challenger for the America's Cup. This role involved both technical management and design team coordination, as well as specific contributions of design and analysis in all areas of under water aerodynamics, hull design, mast and sail aerodynamics, and several projects involving advanced technology and innovation.
1999 - 2000 Performance Optimization Manager for America One, challenger for the America's Cup. This position was directed toward real-time analysis and development of tools, strategies, and modifications for optimization of performance.
1996 - 1999 Technical Director for the Virgin Islands America's Cup Challenge. This role was complete technical management of the program with specific focus on innovation.
1989 - 1995 Technical Director for Team Dennis Connor's 1992 and 1995 America's Cup Defense campaigns. Several innovations in aerodynamics, keels, testing methodologies, and rigging were developed in this program.
1987 - 1989 Technical Director for Alan Bond's America's Cup Program, which was terminated due to Bond's previous business indiscretions.
1984 - 1987 Performance Manager for the Kookaburra Australian America's Cup Defense.
1981 - 1983 Instrumentation Manager for Syd Fisher's America's Cup Program
1975 - 1980 Project engineer for Bendix Guidance Systems Division. This position was as lead engineer on new guidance and control system products for both civilian and military applications including gyroscopes, accelerometers, pressure sensors, position sensors. Many of these designs are still in use in the F-18, Boeing 757, 767 aircraft, etc.
